Dive-site story
Sunk during an American air raid in September 1944, the Kogyo Maru lies on its starboard side in Coron Bay. This Japanese naval auxiliary supply vessel carried equipment for airfield construction, leaving behind holds filled with machinery, a steamroller, and bags of hardened cement. Soft corals and encrusting sponges colonize the steel, while schools of fish congregate along the port side.
