Dive-site story
Off Playa Paraná south of Puerto Madryn, this sunken factory fishing vessel ran aground after catching fire. Low tide leaves portions of the hull exposed above the waterline. Below the surface, cold-water invertebrates coat the metal framework, which attracts patrolling seabirds and pinnipeds over a sandy seabed.
