What makes this site worth diving
On Kauai's southern coast near Poipu, Koloa Landing sits inside a sheltered horseshoe bay that once served as a commercial whaling port. Divers enter from an old concrete boat ramp into shallow water. The reef extends along two basalt lava fingers covered in hard corals, ending at a sandy floor at 12 meters depth. Resident green sea turtles rest under lava ledges alongside morays, including dragon and snowflake eels.
