Along Onna's limestone coast on Okinawa Main Island, Toilet Bowl is named for a natural chute where water surges into a bowl-shaped reef recess. A vertical wall drops past 35 meters into deep water. Deep sea fans on the wall host macro critters, while small caverns near the seabed shelter resting whitetip reef sharks. Wave energy builds inside the upper chute, requiring comfort in moving water.

Diving at Zamami Island in the Kerama Archipelago covers hard coral formations, shallow white-sand channels, and steep reef slopes in water known locally as Kerama Blue. Sites sit a short boat ride from Zamami Port, ranging from sheltered coral gardens with seagrass-grazing green sea turtles to exposed pinnacles in mild currents. Humpback whales migrate through surrounding channels each winter, while summer delivers warm water and minimal swell.
