Dive sites in Japan

Set off Onna along Okinawa's western shoreline, the site features limestone formations cut into a coral reef plateau. Divers descend through an enclosed vertical chimney before exiting horizontally onto an open wall, shifting abruptly from shadowed cavern interior to deep ocean blue. The route stands as a focal point among the caverns of Manza.

Zamami Island anchors the Kerama Shoto National Park, known for the high water clarity termed Kerama Blue. Hard coral gardens spread over white coral sand, undercut bommies shelter macro life, and patch reefs slope gently. Sea turtles graze in shallow sea grasses or rest along reef shelves, while pelagics skirt outer drop-offs.
