The Atlantic Princess, a small passenger vessel grounded by a tropical storm off Bayahibe, was deliberately sunk as an artificial reef. Open hull compartments and surrounding sand flats draw Caribbean reef creatures to the steel structure, and the shallow depth accommodates novice divers and training sessions.
